Uncrustables, Way Cheaper

Use soft bread, put peanut butter and jelly in the center.

Use a glass to cut a circle out of the center of the bread

Pinch edges closed.

Place in sandwich baggie. Store all sandwiches in a large baggie in the freezer.
When the children need a snack or make their own cold lunch, they just pull one out!
peace.

Awesome idea! Jon and I love uncrustables (except we get a generic kind called Jamz, haha), we'll definitely try it!

Good thinking Heather. I have bought Uncrustables before, and they are what...$4 a box?? Rip off!!

I always forget to use the freezer for stuff like that.

Its a great idea but what do you do with those crusts? I can't stand the idea of throwing them away.

At least when I buy Uncrustables I don't have to worry about the crusts. Its kind of like buying meat in the grocery....I don't have to think about where it comes from that way.

ha!

I'll try it though - you know i will. thanks for the photos.

My husband has a metal box on a stick, that you put over a campfire. You make those sandwich things you have with the rig and "toast them" - anyway it's called a hobo maker. I have no idea why I felt the OVERWHELMING need to write this all done.

Love this.

Not sure if we have uncrustables here in Canada, but the round sammies with the crusts off...those will go over BIGTIME.

You are BRILLIANT.
