The Road

by Cormac McCarthy.

This is one of those books that stays with you.
It comes creeping up into your consciousness at odd moments,
your heart sinks and you look around yourself in solemn thanksgiving
for all that you have.

I love books and I have to admit that I enjoy "escaping" into them...
forgetting about things for awhile to live in a different world.

But this one I had to read with one foot planted solidly in the here and now,
because it was too frightening, too hopeless, and too real.

**Addendum to this post: This is not a book recommendation.
Proceed with caution my friends.

Um....rats...I don't want to give a thumbs down, but this is one of those books that I'm not sure everybody should read. I think it's a good book, but I sort of wish I hadn't read it.

Well then, I have a book you would like...I hope..it's called "Twilight" It's part of a series. There are 3 more after it. Give it a try. It's a fun read.

Author is Stephenie Meyer

I think this is a great work of fiction, but probably left unread by folks who stay comfortable within the titles held by Agape. Not an easy read, some really dark thematic material.
