Taking a pause from an especially painful writing project,
he asks me,
"Do you think it would be rude to write,
'to be continued' at the end of an essay?"
I said it might send the wrong message.
He sighs and returns to the work at hand.

hee hee - that one is too smart!
We've been watching Heroes (never watched it before) and they all end with 'to be continued'. I think he's onto somehting.
Ya know, many of the smartest kids despise writing. His ending is genius! While it probably wouldn't have worked, it would have been a good laugh for most teachers.
